AUTO / MANUAL CONTROL SWITCH:-
Auto position limits maximum gain, set by
rotary control. Facility prevents listeners
picking up excessive background noise during
broadcast commentaries, also minimises the
possibility of P.A.feedback when unit is
driving a public address system.
 
MONITOR FACILITIES:-
Provides pre-fade listening on any input
when appropriate switch is activated.
No switch activated circuit will
monitor main input/output signal.
 
HEADPHONE FACILITIES:-
Signals from above monitor system feeds
two independent headphone amplifiers each
fitted with own rotary gain control, to drive 8-16

ABOUT THE T9 HYBRID BOARD
PT9 board used above incorporates an auto gain driver board
to ensure correct transmission level,
It is able to fully function with input signal levels between -10dB & +10dB. input.
The receive section also incorporates an auto gain amplifier
to assist in overcoming varying Telecom line levels
and thus helping generate a balanced Hybrid signal.
A manual balancing facility to compensate for" local end" impedance differences.
The 28-T9NB Module requires a 24 volt positive rail
fully smoothed & regulated D.C.supply.
